Are there any restrictions on where I can use my card?

The Yonda app gives you the full list of our partner shops, restaurants and experiences. You can pay (and earn!) with Yonda at anywhere you see on this list. You can't use your card to get cash out, get cashback or foreign currency, or pay at any kind of automated payment machine (like ticket machines at train stations or car parks, motorway toll machines or petrol station Pay At Pump machines). Other no-gos include subscriptions, automated periodic payments or gambling; or for anything illegal. You might not be able to use your card in franchise stores (like the ones you find at airports, train stations, petrol stations and roadside service stations) so always check.

Do I need to activate my card?

Yes, before you can start spending (and earning!), you need to activate your card to get your PIN. It’s quick and simple, just return to the app and click 'Activate'.

I can't activate my card?

If you've tried to activate your card but it doesn't seem to be working, please let us know by emailing Yonda Support Squad at info@yondacard.com

How do I report my card as lost or stolen?

First up, use the Yonda app to freeze your card while you check it is definitely missing. If it turns up again, you can unfreeze it the same way. If you've checked every jacket pocket and believe you've lost your card or had it stolen - contact the Yonda Support Squad on 0344 3815058 between 8am – 8pm 7 days a week (excluding bank holidays) so we can permanently block that card and get a new one out to you as soon as possible.

Is my card replaced when it expires?

Yes, as long as you've activated the card, we'll send you a new one every three years, like clockwork.

Can I get a PIN reminder?

Yes. You can view your PIN at any time by logging into the app. Just go to 'My Card' on the home screen, select 'Reveal PIN' and enter your password to view.

How do I unlock my PIN?

You can unlock your PIN at any ATM, using the PIN Services option.

Can I change my PIN?

Yes, you can change your PIN at any ATM, using the PIN Services option.

Can I use my card to get cash out or get cashback?

Sorry, you can't use Yonda to do either of those.

Is there a maximum balance I can have on my card at any one time?

Yes, there is a max balance and top up limit of £5,000.

How can I top up my card?

You can top it up using a debit card via the Yonda app. The debit card you use must be registered to the same address as your Yonda card.

How do I change the debit card used to top up?

When you add money to your Yonda card for the first time, we'll give you the option to save the details of the payment card you use so it's even quicker for you to top up in future. But if you want to change this card, you absolutely can. Just select 'Top up' on the Yonda app, and choose the option to use another card. This will take you to our payment partner site, Secure Trading, where you can fill in the details of the card you want to use for this top up. We only store the details of the last card that you used so any previous details will go.

Are there any limits when topping up my Yonda balance?

The maximum balance you can have in your Yonda account at any one time is £5,000. The minimum top-up amount is £5.

Will I be charged for a top up?

Never!

How do I change the name on my Yonda card?

If you want to change your name, please get in touch with the Yonda Support Squad as we'll need some extra information from you. If you've changed your name because you're now married, for example (and congrats, by the way!), then we'll need to see your marriage certificate.

Is my Yonda card contactless?

Yes, all Yonda cards are contactless. Just make sure you pay by Chip and PIN the first time you use your Yonda card—this triggers the contactless part of your card.
